Dr. Rodolfo S. Treyes of UP-NISMED and member of the ASEAN Training Center for Preventive Drug Education (ATCPDE) was again off to Indonesia for the 31st Meeting of ASEAN Senior Officials on Drug Matters (ASOD) in September 2010. He was part of the Philippine delegation which included representatives from the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), the Department of Education (DepEd), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Dr. Treyes also attended last year's 30th ASOD Meeting as head of the Philippine delegation in behalf of Undersecretary Romeo G. Vera Cruz of the Dangerous Drug Board (DDB).
The 30th ASOD Meeting delegation also included: Antonio C. Montojo Jr., Chief, Makati Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), Makati; Virginia P. Balmes, Chief, Policy, Studies, Research and Statistics Division, Dangerous Drug Board; Teresita C. Pineda, Officer in Charge, Preventive Education Training and Information Division, Dangerous Drugs Board; Emely C. Fama, Information Office, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency; and Paul D. Ledesma, Officer in Charge, Regional Office Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Region VI.
